You must make a commitment to yourself to follow the “52 Weeks of Locksmith Sales Success” outlined in the following private Mr. Locksmith Blogs. Each week I will include several websites for you to add your company information and other information to increase your sales.
Any and all advertising you do must include your phone number, email address and website address (eg: http://www.mrlocksmith.com or http://mrlockmsith.com/yourcompany) .
This week I will talk about Backlinks and Craigslist / Kijiji.
BACKLINKS
I won’t go into the pros and cons of backlinks now but Google likes backlinks. If Google likes it and it will help organic searches we will do it. Its takes months for backlinks to be effective but you must start NOW!
You should not add more than three (3) backlinks per week. In the case of backlinks more is good but they must be gradually added. Adding hundreds of backlinks per day or week could result in Google banning your website(s).
The most important point to add any of the backlink websites or any on-line ad or info is to include your website address. If you have more than one website or address location make a separate backlink ad for each site. Cut and paste info from your main website page because that includes key words for Google to search not only your website but backlinks.

CRAIGSLIST AND KIJIJI
Craigslist and Kijiji are good for three reasons:
1) Its Free and its free.
2) Customers use these websites to find what they want to buy (last week I did a lockout from an owner of a very good restaurant in Vancouver who was locked out of his house and he used Craigslist to find a locksmith). Also, we dominate Craigslist.
3) Google likes Craigslist and Kijiji.
Each and every week for the next 52 weeks you should add a minimum of two (2) or more free ads on Craigslist and Kijiji. Again do not forget to include “Mr. Locksmith” your phone number and your website. In British Columbia I find I get a minimum of 3 jobs a week from Craigslist and in Ontario Kijiji seems to be the dominant website.
Note: If you do not have the time to add backlinks or free online ads email me and I will arrange for our webmaster to do this for you for approximately $100.00 per month. Do not contract out the work.
Again, it takes time for the “52 Weeks of Locksmith Sales Success” to be effective but you must do it weekly. If your sales are good you cannot stop and then start when it gets slow, be consistent and do it every week.
